Intro:
When living on land, it's hard to picture yourself as an active neighbor of the ocean. Aquarium of the Pacific sparks a brand-new inkling of adventure while plugging in curious visitors into the vast Pacific Ocean ecosystem. Every moment and community interaction traces back to the infinite chain above and underwater. Everything in the Pacific, including you, lives in the loop.

Icons & Colors:
Within the logo, every animal from the Aquarium of the Pacific can be traced and presented as icons— representing the connecting loop in the ecosystem of the Pacific. Each color represents each zone layer in the Pacific Ocean.


Posters & Tickets:
Just like how a kid would trace the outlines of a creature behind the glass at an exhibit, Aquarium of the Pacific expands beyond the building throughout Long Beach to educate people about each animal.

Installation [In the Zone]:
Using the same tracing motion, people can “wipe on” information about different animals living in the Pacific. Projecting holographic footage of animals gives the opportunity to display animals living in their natural habitats.


UX/UI app:
The Aquarium of the Pacific app carries all news pertaining to the aquarium, Long Beach, and the Pacific Region which traces back to the brand’s mission of keeping everyone “in the moment, community, and loop.” Key features include webcams and connect-the-dots where both adults and kids can watch the aquarium from home.
